This shell sculpture speaks of Saltwater People and the deep connection to Sea Country - a relationship shaped by the tides, the seasons and the life held within the sea.
Each shell has been carefully selected and placed upon a piece of discarded flotation foam, collected from the beach and left behind by the vast fishing industry.
Together, the shells and discarded material tell a story of beauty and fragility, reminding us of the importance of caring for and protecting Numbulwar Country, its waters and the life they sustain.
